I have always said that the only celebrity I would ever find myself in awe of if ever I met them is this man-
I know it seems silly but the guy is a legend and he keeps it clean.
Well today, as I was on my way to pick up the boys from school, I caught Tim Gunn on The Afternoon Shift with Steve Edwards promoting his new book, “Tim Gunn’s Fashion Bible”-
I had such an emotional response. I didn’t know I was so fond of the man. Seriously. I was almost in tears thinking about the fact that he was in Chicago and that maybe I should ditch the back-to-school picnic tonight and drive to Naperville so I could meet him at his book signing.
I didn’t because I suddenly had visions of myself walking into the bookstore and crying right there in front of him and asking him to pass on some pearls of wisdom I felt I desperately needed to hear. What is it about Tim Gunn that makes me feel like I could pour out my fashion soul to him?
Weird right?
I’m totally the same about Tim Gunn, he seems a man with such wit, gentleness and genuine empathy/care for people. A real gentleman….he’s the best thing about Project Runway and my favourite episodes are the ones where he visits the finalists in their own homes. I have his “A Guide To Quality, Taste & Style” and love it. I have his “Fashion Bible” on my Christmas list already. It looks a fascinating book.
This is not odd. It’s perfectly reasonable. Everyone has this reaction to Tim Gunn. PR was on when my hubby walked in the room one day and he immediately said that he really liked TG and couldn’t really put his finger on why. He is magnetic.
